The method of digital multimeter to detect whether the resistance is good or bad:

1. Adjust to the diode file (also called the buzzer file).

2. Use the two test leads of the multimeter to measure the two pins of the resistance.

3. The displayed value is close to the nominal value of the resistor, indicating that the resistor is good.

4. If the displayed value is always "1", it means that the resistor is open internally.

5. If the displayed value is always "0", it means that the resistor is broken down (short circuit).

Note: If the resistance of the resistor is very large, the measured value is not necessarily the value of the resistor, so if you want to measure its resistance, you must use the resistance gear.

Digital multimeters are relatively simple measuring instruments. The correct way to use a digital multimeter. Starting from the measurement methods of digital multimeters such as voltage, resistance, current, diodes, triodes, and MOS field effect tubes, you can better grasp the multimeter measurement methods.

Before use, you should read the relevant instruction manual carefully and be familiar with the functions of the power switch, range switch, jack, and special jack.

1. Put the ON/OFF switch in the ON position, check the 9V battery, if the battery voltage is insufficient, it will be displayed on the display, then the battery needs to be replaced. If the display does not show, follow the steps below.

2. The symbol next to the test pen jack indicates that the input voltage or current should not exceed the indicated value, which is to protect the internal circuit from damage.

3. Before the test. The function switch should be set to the range you need.
