1. Check leakage

If the water pump leaks electricity, it can't be used at all. Even if it can be used barely, there are too many safety hazards. Turn the digital meter to the maximum resistance position, measure the power plug to the water pump casing, and check whether there is an insulation resistance of at least 0.5 megohms. The larger the resistance, the better. The resistance value is greater than or equal to 0.5 megohm, and there is basically no leakage. If the number shows zero, it means that the leakage is serious and there is a ground fault.


Open the cover and check if the incoming wire is damaged and touches the casing. If not, touch the casing inside the coil and ask the motor maintenance master to solve it.


2. Check the coil
If there is no leakage, start this step with a digital meter ✘2k to measure whether the power plug is connected. If it is not connected, confirm that the coil is blown, or the coil is disconnected for some reason, please ask the maintenance master to deal with it.


If you measure the live wire of the plug and the neutral wire is connected, there is no problem. If you find it troublesome, you can plug in the power to test the machine. If it still doesn’t work, then remove the water pump cover and measure whether the three lines meet the resistance relationship of rCR+rCS=rRS. That is, the resistance relationship between the common terminal, the starting terminal and the running terminal.


As long as it meets the resistance relationship and does not leak electricity, the water pump is basically good. The next test machine still does not turn, so you need to check whether it is stuck.

When the power is off, use a screwdriver to move the impeller to check whether the rotation is flexible.
