How to use and precautions of handheld infrared thermometer
1. Firstly, check the temperature gun and press the transmitter button to observe if the LCD display screen shows any numbers;
2. Manually press the infrared emitter on the temperature gun handle;
3. Observe the display of SCAN in the upper left corner of the LCD screen, indicating that temperature is being collected at this time. Pause for a moment and release the button when the temperature on the display screen no longer fluctuates significantly (if no activity is detected for 8 consecutive seconds, the thermometer will automatically turn off);
4. The ε character represents emissivity, and the value displayed in the center of the LCD screen is the measured value. The maximum, minimum, average temperature, and temperature difference can be displayed in the lower left corner.
Precautions for using a handheld infrared thermometer
1. Pay attention to your own safety when measuring temperature and stand at an appropriate distance outside the safety line;
2. When measuring the temperature of the object being measured with a handheld infrared thermometer, the infrared thermometer should be aligned with the object to be measured, and the ratio of the measurement distance to the spot size should meet the field of view requirements, neither too close nor too far away;
3. Only measuring surface temperature, infrared thermometers cannot measure internal temperature;
4. Infrared thermometers with wavelengths above 5um cannot be used for temperature measurement through quartz glass because glass has special reflection and transmission characteristics that make it difficult to measure accurately. It is best not to use infrared thermometers for temperature measurement on bright or polished metal surfaces (such as stainless steel, aluminum, etc.);
5. Steam, dust, smoke, etc. can block the optical system of the instrument and affect accurate temperature measurement;
6. If the thermometer is suddenly exposed to an ambient temperature difference of 20 ℃ or higher, the instrument is allowed to adjust to the new ambient temperature within 20 minutes;
7. Do not aim the laser directly at the eyes or onto surfaces that are indirectly reflected;
