Installation and commissioning of metal detectors
1. Metal detector assembly and precautions
Assembling a metal detector is simple and does not require any special tools, just follow the steps below:
1. Rotate the locking knot on the metal rod clockwise to loosen it
2. Stand with the detector in hand, and when the distance between the detection coil and the ground is between 0.5 and 2 inches, place your arms naturally and comfortably, and you can adjust the length of the detection rod accordingly.
3. Rotate the knot counterclockwise to lock it in place
4. Unscrew the nut on the probe coil and remove it from the screw. Insert the metal shank and align it with the bracket hole on the detection coil, reinsert the screw rod into the hole, and tighten the nut.
5. Wrap the detection cable around the metal rod. Leave enough length to enable high speed to the coil when probing uneven ground.
6. Insert the probe coil plug into the socket on the control panel. Take care to make sure the pins on the plug line up with the holes.
Note: The probe coil plug can only be inserted into the socket in one way, do not insert forcefully to avoid damage. Disconnect the detection coil cable from the detection coil, please grasp the plug to pull it out, do not pull the cable
7. Loosen the nut on the detection coil to adjust the detection coil to the desired angle (the detection coil should be parallel to the ground). Tighten the nut to an appropriate degree to facilitate the rotation and vibration of the probe.
Note: Do not overtighten the probe coil, and do not use tools such as pliers to tighten it.
2. Battery installation and debugging and matters needing attention
You need 8 1.5 volt batteries to power the metal detector
Use only new batteries of the specified size and recommended type. Do not mix old and new batteries, batteries of different types (standard, alkaline or rechargeable) or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
1. When installing the battery, keep the instrument turned off.
2. Press and hold the battery cover on the right, and remove the cover in the direction of the arrow
3. Put 4 1.5 volt batteries into the battery compartment, and pay attention to aligning the positive and negative marks
4. Reinstall the battery cover on the right
5. Press and hold the battery cover on the left, and remove the cover in the direction of the arrow
6. Put four 1.5-volt batteries into the battery compartment according to the correct direction of the positive and negative poles
7. Replace the left battery cover
Notice
●Replace old batteries and weak batteries in time; batteries can leak chemicals and damage electronic components
●If you do not plan to use the detector continuously for a week or more, please take out the battery
●Properly dispose of old batteries
(1) Test battery
After powering on, if the indicator light of the detector is very dim or does not light up, the detector cannot be turned on, the volume is weak, it cannot be tuned properly, the operation is unstable, or there is an offset, which indicates that the battery has insufficient energy and needs to be replaced . (2) Adjust the level meter to turn off the state, and use a screwdriver to align the pointer at 0 on the scale.
3. Headphone installation
You can connect a headset (not included, bring your own) to the detector so that you can hear the sound alone. Using the headset saves battery and makes it easier to identify subtle changes in the sound, thereby achieving a better sound quality. Good detection effect. When you use headphones, the built-in speakers are not in use.
