Installation and maintenance of industrial pH meters

The installation methods of industrial pH meters include flow type, immersion type (sinking type), pipeline type, and sidewall installation.
The sewage treatment plant generally adopts immersion (immersion) installation. For example, the industrial pH meter of the sewage treatment plant is installed in the overflow tank at the outlet of the oxidation ditch. The pH value here is more representative, and the water flow is stable, which will not cause significant impact on the pH electrode.

Flow type installation requires the configuration of three-way accessories. Flow type installation and maintenance of electrodes are more convenient, and flow type is generally used for water measurement in power plants.

The pipeline type is equipped with a corresponding threaded interface installation base in the pipeline type, and the electrode is directly screwed into the pipeline, which is not suitable for use in small diameter pipelines.
Side wall installation is used in the biological fermentation industry. When installing metal fermentation tanks with holes on the side walls, corresponding installation accessories need to be configured.

Regular maintenance helps to accurately measure instruments and extend their service life. It should be noted that the dedicated cable between the pH electrode and the transmitter should not be damp, otherwise the high resistance and low voltage signals of the electrode will not be transmitted to the transmitter.

If the electrode is not measured, a protective cap with immersion solution should be placed on it, which can keep the electrode in a moist state and help extend its service life.

It is recommended to clean the electrodes every month or so (depending on the water quality on site). First, spray the attached substances with gentle water flow, then soak the electrodes in cleaning solution for a period of time, and then rinse with clean water. The sensor bracket should also be cleaned. After each cleaning, calibrate with a buffer solution and use again.
