The hFE mode is mainly used to measure the amplification factor β value. Before measurement, it is necessary to first determine whether the transistor is PNP or NPN type, and also determine the polarity of each pin.
Other precautions for use
(1) During the use of a multimeter, do not touch the metal part of the probe with your hands. This ensures accurate measurement and personal safety.
(2) When measuring a certain amount of electricity, it is not advisable to shift gears at the same time, especially when measuring high voltage or high current. Otherwise, it will damage the multimeter. If you need to shift gears, disconnect the probe first and then measure after shifting gears.
Precautions for maintenance of digital multimeter
A digital multimeter is a precision device. Do not change the circuit arbitrarily and pay attention to the following points:
① Do not use beyond the range.
② Do not use a multimeter when the battery is not properly installed or the back cover is not tightened.
③ The battery and fuse can only be replaced after the test probe is removed from the multimeter and the power is cut off. Battery replacement: Pay attention to the usage of the 9V battery. If you need to replace the battery, open the screws on the back cover and replace it with the same model of battery. When replacing the fuse, please use the same model of fuse.
④ After using the multimeter, the conversion switch should be placed in the "OFF" position. If not used for a long time, the battery inside the multimeter should be removed to prevent corrosion of other components inside the meter.
