Introduction to electromagnetic radiation levels of household appliances
The introduction of electromagnetic radiation indicators for household appliances adopts a five point system. Any rating of five points is considered seriously exceeding the standard and should be taken seriously; Samsung or above is also within the range of exceeding the standard, and it should also draw your attention; One star is safe, you can use it with confidence. Electromagnetic radiation is divided into two levels, with the unit in the power frequency range being μ T. If the radiation is above 0.4 μ T, it is considered strong radiation and poses certain risks to the human body. Long term exposure can lead to leukemia. If the radiation is below 0.4 μ T, it is relatively safe. The unit of radio frequency electromagnetic waves is μ W/cm2.
The traditional picture tube television CRT was the first to be tested. We first conducted a close-up test on it. Within a range of half a meter from the front, the radiation value generated at the moment of normal startup was 0.12 μ T, the radiation value during normal viewing was 0.30 μ T, the radiation value during channel change was 0.27 μ T, and the standby state was 0.11 μ T. However, under normal viewing on the side, the radiation value was 0.28 μ T, which overall appears to be close to the warning value.
Because most people watch TV at a distance of about 3 meters, we also conducted tests at a distance of 3 meters from the front and found that there is a significant attenuation of radiation: the on/off, normal viewing, channel switching, and standby states are all 0.12 μ T. The test results show that traditional CRT TVs do not cause harm when viewed normally. But what surprised us was that the radiation intensity behind it was relatively high. Within half a meter after turning on, the radiation value reached 4.8 μ T, and the radiation did not decrease through glass and wooden boards. Even through a 10 centimeter thick wall, the radiation value was 0.9 μ T. Be careful if the back of your TV is facing the bedside of the bedroom. However, people usually have different times of rest and watching TV, so the problem is not significant.
CRT displays, LCD displays, desktop computers, small speakers, laptops, etc. People have always believed that CRT displays emit more radiation. Is this what people think? We first tested it, and the front of the display screen was tightly pressed against 1.00 μ T, while the side of the display screen was tightly pressed against 0.55 μ T, which is quite impressive! Looking at the center of the display screen, at a distance of 0.03 meters, there is still 0.55 μ T radiation. Is this CRT display really emitting as much radiation as we imagine? To further confirm, we started searching for its safe distance and found that when the distance was 0.2 meters, the radiation in front of the display screen attenuated to 0.18 μ T. It seems that as long as the CRT display maintains a distance of 0.2 meters, it can be used with confidence. A friend of the audience asked if it had the same high radiation as CRT TV, but after testing, it was found that it was not very high. Some people like to use radiation resistant screensavers, but does it work? We also specifically tested it, and with only a 10% reduction in screen saver radiation, it seems that the screen saver's effect is not significant.
Normal Mouse, Normal Keyboard, Wireless Mouse, Wireless Keyboard, Wireless Gateway Printer, Digital Camera and MP4 Power Adapter, Normal Mouse 0.1 μ T, Normal Keyboard 0.11 μ T, Wireless Mouse 0.53 μ T, Wireless Keyboard 0.96 μ T, Wireless Gateway Gateway 0.15 μ T, and Printer 0.11 μ T, Digital Camera Power Adapter 0.11 μ T, MP4 Power Adapter 0.16 μ T
In recent years, DVD players and home theaters have become popular in home theaters, which include a DVD player with a sound system. According to test results, DVD1.2 μ T, OK player 1.2 μ T, amplifier 1.24 μ T, small speaker 1.5 μ T, and large speaker 0.49 μ T. If opened simultaneously, the radiation can be significant. Tip: It is recommended that you use home theaters as little as possible. If you want to sing, it is best to go to KTV.
