Introduction to the use of controlled power supplies in laser cutting machines for protection
The stabilized power supply of the laser cutting machine is mainly to observe the compensation transformer to see whether the temperature rise of the voltage regulating transformer is normal, whether there are abnormal phenomena such as overheating and discoloration of the coil.
Check whether the contact of the carbon brush is in good condition, monitor whether the input and output voltages are normal, whether there is any overload phenomenon, etc.
In order to carry out better maintenance, the dust and dirt on the various parts of the voltage regulator of the metal laser cutting machine should be removed generally every three months;
Check whether the chain transmission system is working normally, add oil to the sprocket, adjust the tightness of the chain, check whether the carbon brush holder is tilted or stuck, and adjust it if found.
In addition, check whether the electrical contacts of the metal laser cutting machine are damaged;
If it should be replaced or repaired in time:
Check whether the column-type voltage regulating transformer is flexible and whether the carbon brushes are in good condition, and replace the damaged or severely worn carbon brushes in time;
If there are burns or carbon brush powder on the contact surface of the coil, use No. 0 fine sand to polish it in time and remove the dust.
The protection function of the stabilized power supply of the laser cutting machine:
If the overvoltage output exceeds 10% of the rated voltage (adjustable), the output power will be cut off after a delay of 3-5 seconds
If the undervoltage output is lower than the rated voltage -15% (adjustable), the output power will be cut off after a delay of 3-5 seconds
Delay 2 seconds to cut off the output power
When the overcurrent exceeds the rated output current, the output power will be cut off after a delay of 3-5 seconds
Short circuit When the load device is short-circuited, cut off the output power
When there is an error in the reverse phase sequence of the three-phase electric phase, the machine will alarm and cut off the output power
When there is a lack of phase in the three-phase power, the machine will alarm and cut off the output power
So what do we usually need to pay attention to when using a regulated power supply?
1. The first is operation, adjust the knob or button according to the actual required voltage and current;
If the required voltage is directly in the gear, then the main knob should be adjusted to the first position, and then the fine knob should be adjusted, for example, 13V is required; then the main knob should be adjusted to 15V first, and then adjusted through the auxiliary knob.
The main knob should not be adjusted to 10V, which will cause the voltage to not be able to reach 13V.
2. If you need to use the load, you should first adjust to the required voltage before connecting the load.
3. In the process of using the DC regulated power supply, when it is necessary to adjust the "coarse adjustment" gear; the load must be disconnected first, and then reconnected to the load after adjusting the voltage.
4. During our use, when we encounter load short-circuit or overload protection, we should disconnect the load first, then press the "recovery" button to restart the voltage; the voltage can resume normal work, and wait for the fault to be eliminated. Reconnect the load.
