Therefore, each has its own advantages. If you want to detect the current of the running circuit, you must be sure that the clamp current meter is easy to use, and you should directly detect the current without disconnecting the line. The multimeter has to be disconnected before it can be measured. If the equipment cannot be powered off at will in the process of continuous production, the multimeter will not work well at this time.
Today's clip-on meter is not the clip-on meter of decades ago. It adopts Hall induction principle, which can not only measure AC circuit and DC current; Plug in a stylus and turn it into a digital multimeter. You can also measure parameters such as voltage, resistance, capacitance and frequency. As for the accuracy, it is the same as the digital multimeter, and there is no difference.
Their differences
If we have to say which one is easier to use, clamp meter or multimeter, their experience in the use process is still somewhat different.
1. The clamp meter can continuously measure current, which the multimeter can't do. If you need to measure AC and DC current frequently, it is recommended to buy a clamp meter; You don't need to measure the current often to buy a multimeter.
2. In order to measure the current continuously, the clamp meter must have jaws, so its figure is slender. Because there is no bracket on the back of the pliers watch, I personally feel that the pliers watch is more inclined to be measured in my hand; There is a bracket on the back of the multimeter, which is more inclined to be placed on the table for measurement. So if you often sit at the table for maintenance, it is convenient to buy a multimeter, otherwise it is very uncomfortable to stretch your neck to look at the screen of the pliers table.
3. In terms of price, the clamp meter not only has most functions of multimeter, but also has more current transformers, so the price is relatively more expensive.
