Key Details to Note for the Initial Installation of Microscopes
Firstly, open the outer shell of the light bulb and insert the halogen bulb into the socket. During installation, avoid direct finger contact with the bulb to prevent fingerprints and other dirt from leaving on it, which may affect its service life.
The first step is to place the microscope on the test bench. After connecting the power, use a dedicated screwdriver to adjust the focusing knob hole of the lamp and adjust the filament imaging to clear; Then adjust the high and low position of the lamp to adjust the filament hole so that the filament position is appropriate; Adjust the screw holes of the left and right positions of the lamp again to make the filament position suitable.
The inspection and calibration of the position of the light source emitter within the microscope is aimed at aligning the image end of the emitter with the field of view of the objective lens, ensuring sufficient and uniform illumination of the microscope's field of view from the perspective of the light source. This is a prerequisite for adjusting the Kuller illumination system. Basic tools required: The telescope is equipped with a microscope when purchasing it.
Remove the frosted glass sleeve from the lamp compartment and reinstall the lamp chamber onto the microscope; Select a 10 x objective lens, turn on the light source program to find the sample and focus it clearly, then switch to a 40 x objective lens to focus the sample clearly (the 40 x objective lens can see the full picture of the filament); Open the aperture stop and field stop of the spotlight to the maximum; Pull out one of the eyepieces, replace it with a centering telescope, grasp the white part, and stretch the black eyepiece with the other hand to see the filament image in the field of view;
If the position of the filament is not suitable, adjust the "-" hole to adjust the filament image horizontally, adjust the "-" hole to adjust the filament image vertically, until the filament image is adjusted to just fill the circular image of the objective lens aperture;
After the adjustment is complete, insert the frosted glass sleeve back into its original position, remove the centering telescope, and replace the telescope for the next adjustment. The adjustment of the lighting source chamber outside the microscope and the calibration of the position of the light source emitter inside the microscope as described above only need to be carried out during the initial installation, debugging, and replacement of the light bulb of the microscope. It is not allowed to adjust or move the microscope randomly during normal use. In case of disorder, you can follow the above steps to restore it to its original state.
This article mainly explains the installation of the optical path and some debugging details during the initial installation process of the microscope. After completing this step, the microscope needs to be systematically installed, including the main components such as the eyepiece, objective lens, and condenser lens, which will be discussed in the next article.
