Measuring range of portable gas detector

Portable gas detection technology can be used for harmful gas detection, organic voc gas detection, combustible gas detection, and single gas detection. Accurately make early warning The development of hidden danger detection technology is changing with each passing day, and its application in the inspection and elimination of accident precursors is becoming more and more extensive. Its development direction is miniaturization and automation, in order to achieve long-term monitoring.

Portable gas detectors are widely used in industrial safety monitoring, indoor air quality detection, hazardous substance detection, and environmental protection monitoring. Aiming at the key links in the process of disaster breeding, occurrence and development, destroying its chain development chain is an important part of the safety accident prevention technology system.

Pay attention to the measurement range of the portable gas detector used:

Any gas detector has a fixed detection range, and the measurement can only be completed within this range, otherwise the measured result is far lower than the value of your environment. In addition, measuring out of range for a long time will cause damage to the sensor, so that correct results cannot be obtained later in the measurement range.

Pay attention to the service life of the sensor in the gas detector used:

All gas detectors have a limited service life, and portable gas detectors are no exception. Even if they are not used frequently, they will still show signs of aging. In general, among the portable gas detectors, the photoionization detector has the longest service life of about four years; the service life of the LEL sensor is second, and can be used for more than three years; the service life of the electrochemical specific gas sensor is relatively short , generally within one to two years; the oxygen sensor can only be used for about one year.

Therefore, you must read the instructions carefully before using the sensor, and use it within the validity period of the sensor. If it is found to be expired, you need to replace it immediately.

The detector needs to be calibrated and tested frequently:

Portable gas detectors generally use a relative comparison method for measurement, and the measurement method is as follows:

1. First calibrate the instrument with a standard concentration of gas and a zero gas, and store the standard curve in the instrument;

2. Compare the electrical signal of the standard concentration with the electrical signal generated by the gas concentration to be measured, and calculate the accurate gas concentration value.
