Metal detector faults and troubleshooting methods
Phenomenon one:
Fault phenomenon: 1-2 seconds after starting up, it will alarm or vibrate continuously
Reason analysis: Generally, this phenomenon occurs due to high sensitivity and insufficient power. Some users don't notice that the battery voltage is lower than the working voltage after using it for a period of time, and they often think that the detector beeps for a long time as a fault repair.
Method of exclusion:
1. Adjust the sensitivity when the alarm is turned on until the alarm does not stop.
2. If the adjustment cannot be ruled out, replace the battery or use it after charging.
Note: Lowering the sensitivity at this time will not affect the detection accuracy.
Phenomenon two:
Symptoms of failure: For detectors with vibration, sometimes the buzzer works normally, but the vibration motor cannot stop when it is turned to vibration.
Cause analysis: This kind of phenomenon is generally caused by the user not noticing the voltage drop after using it for a period of time. Because the power consumption of the motor exceeds that of the buzzer, the voltage at this time can only ensure the normal operation of the buzzer.
Method of exclusion:
1. In case of vibration, lower the sensitivity.
2. Replace the battery with a new one or recharge it before use
Note: Lowering the sensitivity at this time will not affect the detection accuracy.
Phenomenon three:
Fault phenomenon: The red light is always on when the power is turned on, and there is no alarm or vibration
Reason analysis: This kind of phenomenon is generally caused by the detector being out of use for a period of time, forgetting to take out the battery, and the battery has been discharged slowly for a long time.
Method of exclusion:
1. Just replace the battery with a new one.
2. Pay attention to whether the battery box is polluted by battery leakage. If it is polluted, it should be cleaned in time, otherwise the battery buckle or circuit board will be corroded and damaged.
3. It can be cleaned with pure alcohol or special electronic cleaning agent.
Phenomenon four:
Fault phenomenon: After starting up, it will alarm if it detects anything or even a slight shaking.
Reason analysis: Generally, it is because the sensitivity is adjusted too high, or the sensitivity is not adjusted to the original normal position in time after the sensitivity is increased to detect small metals.
Remedy: 1. Just lower the sensitivity.
Phenomenon five:
Symptoms of failure: After turning on the machine, sometimes it appears normal, sometimes it is not normal.
Cause analysis: Generally, when the user installs the battery, the battery buckle is not pressed tightly or only one is pressed, and the other is sometimes in contact and sometimes not in contact. There are also individual battery buckles that do not match the battery, resulting in loose contact.
Method of exclusion:
1. Open the battery box and press it again.
2. If the battery buckle is too loose, just clamp it gently with pliers.
3. If the battery buckle is not flexible or damaged, just replace it. Pay attention to +- polarity when replacing.
