Metallographic microscope use instructions

1. According to the magnification requirements required for observing the sample, select the objective lens and eyepiece correctly, and install them on the objective lens holder and in the eyepiece tube respectively.

2. Adjust the center of the stage to align with the center of the objective lens, place the prepared sample on the center of the stage, and the observation surface of the sample should face down.

3. Insert the light bulb of the Olympus metallographic microscope into a low-voltage transformer (6-8V), and then insert the transformer plug into a 220V power socket to make the light bulb shine.

4. Turn the coarse focus handwheel to lower the stage so that the sample observation surface is close to the objective lens; then reversely turn the coarse focus knob to raise the stage so that a blurred image can be seen in the eyepiece; finally turn the fine adjustment Focus the handwheel until the image is absolutely clear.

5. Properly adjust the aperture diaphragm and field diaphragm, and select the appropriate filter lens to obtain an ideal object image.

6. Move the stage back and forth, left and right, observe different parts of the sample, in order to analyze and find the most representative microstructure.

7. After the observation is completed, the power supply should be cut off in time to prolong the service life of the bulb.

8. After the experiment, carefully remove the objective lens and eyepiece, and check whether there is any pollution such as dust. If there is any pollution, it should be wiped clean with lens paper in time, and then stored in a desiccator to prevent moisture and mildew . Olympus metallurgical microscopes should also be covered with dust covers at all times.
