Metallurgical microscope Usage and precautions
Metallurgical microscope use: metallurgical microscope is a precision optical instruments, in the use of the requirements of careful and prudent, in strict accordance with the use of procedures for operation.
① Connect the light source plug of metallurgical microscope to the low voltage (6V ~ 8V) transformer, turn on the power.
② According to the magnification, select the required objective lens and eyepiece, respectively, mounted on the objective lens holder and eyepiece barrel, rotate the objective lens converter, so that the objective lens into the optical path and positioning (can feel the locator positioning).
③ Place the specimen in the centre on the sample stage so that the observation surface is facing down and press it with a bullet.
④ Turn the coarse adjustment handwheel to make the mirror barrel rise first, while observing with your eyes, so that the objective lens as close as possible to the surface of the specimen (but shall not be touched), and then reverse the coarse adjustment handwheel, so that the mirror barrel gradually down to adjust the focal length, when the field of view of the brightness of the enhancement, and then switch to fine-tuning handwheel adjustments, until the object * clear until the object.
⑤ Adjust the aperture light bar and the field of view light bar appropriately to get the best quality object image.
⑥ If you use the oil immersion system objective lens, you can drop some pine oil on the front lens of the objective lens, or you can drop the pine oil directly on the specimen. After the oil lens is used, it should be wiped off immediately with cotton dipped in xylene solution, and then wiped dry with mirror paper.
Metallographic microscope precautions:
① operation should be careful, not rough and violent action, is strictly prohibited to disassemble the microscope parts.
② metallurgical microscope lens and specimen surface can not be touched directly, if the lens falls into the dust, available lens paper or soft brush gently wipe test.
The illumination bulb of the microscope must be connected to a 6~8V transformer, do not plug it directly into 220V power supply to avoid burning the bulb.
When rotating the coarse and fine adjustment handwheels, move slowly, and report the faults immediately, and do not force to rotate to avoid damaging the parts.
