Method for observing phase contrast with an inverted metallographic microscope

The most commonly used observation method in the inverted microscope is phase contrast. Since this method does not require staining, it is ideal for observing living cells and microorganisms.
The operation steps are as follows:

1. Switch on the microscope and connect the power supply. Switch on the electric control switch at the lower end of the mirror body.

2,Place the object to be observed on the carrier stage. Rotate the three-aperture converter and select the smaller objective lens. Observe and adjust the hinged binocular eyepieces, comfortable is appropriate.

3,Adjust the light source: push and pull the brightness adjuster at the lower end of the adjusting mirror body to suitable. Adjust the size of the light source by adjusting the grating under the spotting mirror.

4, adjust the image distance: turn the three-hole converter, select the appropriate magnification of the objective lens; replace and select the appropriate eyepiece; and at the same time, adjust the lift, in order to eliminate or reduce the halo around the image, improve the image of the liner.

5,Observation: Observe the result through the eyepiece; adjust the carrier table and select the observation field.

6,Shut down, remove the observation object, push and pull the light source brightness adjuster to  dark. Turn off the switch at the lower end of the mirror body and disconnect the power supply. Rotate the three-aperture converter so that the objective lens is placed on the lower side of the carrier stage to prevent the settling of dust.
