Microscope operating procedures and precautions
1. Taking mirror and placing it
Hold the mirror arm with your right hand, and hold the mirror base with your left hand; place the microscope on the bench slightly to the left (the microscope is placed about 7 cm away from the edge of the bench). Install the eyepiece and objective lens.
Second, the light
Turn the converter to align the low-magnification objective lens with the light hole (keep a distance of 2 cm between the front end of the objective lens and the stage); align a larger aperture with the light hole. Look into the eyepiece with the left eye (open the right eye for simultaneous drawing later). Turn the reflector so that the light is reflected into the lens barrel through the light hole. Through the eyepiece, a bright white field of view can be seen.
3. Observation
Put the slide specimen to be observed (it can also be made of a thin paper sheet printed with "6") on the stage, and press it with a pressure clamp. The specimen should be right in the center of the light hole; Turn the focus screw to lower the lens barrel slowly until the objective lens is close to the slide specimen (look at the objective lens to prevent the objective lens from touching the slide specimen); look into the eyepiece with the left eye, and at the same time turn the coarse focus screw in the opposite direction to make the lens The cylinder rises slowly until the object can be seen clearly. Then turn the fine focus screw slightly to make the object image clearer; the use of high-magnification objective lens: before using the high-magnification objective lens, you must first use the low-magnification objective lens to find the observed object image, and adjust it to the center of the field of view, and then turn the converter Replace the high power lens. After switching to a high-magnification lens, the brightness in the field of view becomes darker, so generally choose a larger aperture and use the concave surface of the mirror, and then adjust the fine focus screw. The number of objects viewed becomes smaller, but the size becomes larger.
4. Finishing
After the experiment, wipe the surface of the microscope clean. Turn the converter, turn the two objective lenses to the sides, and slowly lower the lens barrel to the lowest point, and place the mirror vertically. Finally, put the microscope into the mirror box and send it back to its original place.
Precautions:
1. It is strictly forbidden to extract the microscope with one hand.
2. If it is necessary to move the microscope, be sure to lift the microscope and put it in a proper position. It is strictly forbidden to push the microscope (the vibration caused by the push may cause the internal parts of the microscope to loosen, remember!!), please handle the microscope with care.
3. When using a microscope, the height of the chair should be appropriate. When observing, you should be used to observing with both eyes at the same time, and the aperture and brightness of the light source should be appropriate. Otherwise, you will easily feel tired when observing for a long time.
4. Be sure to lower the stage to the lowest point when turning the rotating disk, so as not to scratch the lens of the eyepiece due to improper operation.
5. The slide should be removed for specimen staining or any other operation, and then put back on the stage for observation after the operation is completed. Do not operate on the stage to prevent dye or other liquids from flowing into the microscope or damaging the lens.
6. After observing one material, when you want to change another material, be sure to lower the stage to the lowest point, and then refocus according to the standard procedure after changing the glass slide. Do not directly replace the specimen to avoid scratching the lens or slide specimens.
7. After using the microscope, the stage should be lowered to the lowest point, and the low-magnification mirror should be aligned with the central hole of the stage, the power cord should be rolled up, covered with a dust cover, and stored in a storage cabinet
