Microscope Optical Failure Analysis

Microscopic double images do not coincide. In the observation of binocular eyepieces, sometimes there will be a phenomenon of double image misalignment. The appearance of double image misalignment does not care about the inconsistent compensation of the length of the two lens barrels. The magnification of the two eyepieces is quite different, and the vibration during use or transportation causes binocular damage. The position of the prism is shifted due to three reasons. For the first two reasons, they have been calibrated and matched when leaving the factory, and they can be solved as long as you pay attention to the method and matching during use.

The third reason for the microscope is more common. At this time, the binocular shell should be opened, a cross ruler should be placed on the platform, and 10X reticle eyepieces should be inserted into the left and right lens barrels for observation, and the position and angle of the binocular prism should be corrected. , and when the binocular eyepieces are rotated to observe at different angles, the positions of the cross marks are at the same position of the field of view of the left and right eyepieces, and then tighten them.

When the microscope binocular observation, sometimes there will be inconsistencies in the brightness and color of the left and right fields of view, which will affect the observation. This is caused by the damage of the splitting film of the beam splitting prism. At this time, the beam splitting prism should be removed and sent to the microscope manufacturer for re-coating before assembly and use. .

The difference between the application of upright metallographic microscope and inverted metallographic microscope

Inverted metallurgical microscope, since the observation surface of the sample coincides with the surface of the workbench downwards, the observation objective lens is located under the workbench and observed upwards, this observation form is not limited by the height of the sample, as long as one observation surface is flat when preparing the sample Therefore, it is widely used in factory laboratories, scientific research institutions and colleges. The base of the inverted metallographic microscope has a large supporting area, a low center of gravity, stable and reliable operation, and the eyepiece and the supporting surface are inclined at 45°C, making observation comfortable.

The upright metallographic microscope has the same basic functions as the inverted metallographic microscope, except for the analysis and identification of metal samples with a height of 20-30mm, because it conforms to people's daily habits, it is more widely used in transparent, translucent or opaque substance. The upright metallurgical microscope forms a positive image during observation, which brings great convenience to the user's observation and identification. In addition to the analysis and identification of metal samples with a height of 20-30mm, observation targets larger than 3 microns and less than 20 microns, such as cermets, electronic chips, printed circuits, LCD substrates, films, fibers, granular objects, coatings and other materials on the surface The structure and traces can have a good imaging effect.
