Microscope use and maintenance
1. Procedures for using the microscope
(1) During the experiment, the microscope should be placed on the table, the mirror base should be about 6-7 cm away from the edge of the table, and the bottom light source switch should be turned on.
(2) Turn the converter so that the low magnification lens is facing the light hole on the stage. Then look into the eyepiece with both eyes, adjust the intensity of the light source, raise the condenser, and adjust the iridescent aperture to the maximum, so that the light is reflected into the mirror, and the field of view is bright at this time.
(3) Place the film to be observed on the stage so that the observed part is located in the center of the light hole.
(4) First observe with a low power lens (objective lens 10×, eyepiece 10×). Before observation, turn the coarse quasi-focus screw to raise the stage and make the objective lens gradually approach the slice. It should be noted that the objective lens cannot touch the glass slide to prevent the lens from crushing the glass slide. And turn the coarse quasi-focus screw to lower the stage slowly, and soon you can see the enlarged object image of the material in the slide.
(5) If the object image seen in the field of view does not meet the experimental requirements (the object image deviates from the field of view), slowly move the ruler left and right. When moving, it should be noted that the moving direction of the slide is exactly opposite to the moving direction of the object image seen in the field of view. If the object image is not very clear, you can adjust the fine focus screw until the object image is clear.
(6) If you use a high-magnification objective lens for further observation, you should move the part of the object image that needs to be enlarged for observation to the center of the field of view before switching to the high-power objective lens (when the low-power objective lens is converted to a high-power objective lens for observation, the range of the object image in the field of view is reduced. a lot of). Generally, for microscopes with normal functions, the low-power objective lens and the high-power objective lens are basically in focus. When the low-power objective lens is used to observe clearly, the object image should be visible by changing the high-power objective lens, but the object image is not necessarily very clear. You can turn it to fine focus screw to adjust.
(7) After changing the high-magnification objective lens and seeing the object image clearly, you can adjust the aperture or condenser as needed to make the light meet the requirements (generally, when the low-magnification objective lens is replaced with a high-magnification objective lens for observation, the field of view will be slightly darker, so it is necessary to to adjust the light level).
(8) After the observation, the objective lens should be removed from the light hole, and then the
Microscope recovery. And check whether the parts are damaged (especially pay attention to check whether the objective lens is wet, if it is wet, wipe it with lens paper), and put it back to the original place after the inspection is completed.
Second, the maintenance of the microscope
1. You must be proficient and strictly implement the operating procedures.
2. When picking up and delivering the microscope, be sure to hold the mirror arm with one hand and support the base with the other hand. The microscope cannot be tilted to prevent the eyepieces from slipping out of the upper end of the lens barrel. Handle with care when picking up and delivering the microscope.
3. During observation, the position of the microscope cannot be moved casually.
4. The optical part of the microscope can only be wiped with special lens cleaning paper. Do not use other objects to wipe it, let alone touch the lens with your fingers, so as not to stain the lens with sweat.
5. Keep the microscope clean and avoid contamination by dust, water and chemical reagents.
6. When converting the objective lens, do not move the objective lens, but turn the converter.
7. Do not turn the coarse focus screw at will. When using the fine focus screw, the force should be light, the rotation should be slow, and do not turn it hard when it cannot be turned.
8. Do not arbitrarily disassemble the parts on the microscope, and it is strictly forbidden to disassemble the objective lens at will, so as not to damage the converter screw, or the loose screw will make the low and high magnification objective lens out of focus when switching.
9. When using a high-magnification objective lens, do not use the coarse quasi-focus screw to adjust the focal length, so as not to move too far apart and damage the objective lens and glass slide.
10. Keep the microscope dry.
11. After use, you must check whether the objective lens is stained with water or reagents, and if so, wipe it clean, and wipe the stage clean, and put it away as required.
