Multimeter classification and part composition introduction

1. According to the display method, it is divided into:
1. Pointer multimeter;
2. Digital multimeter;

Second, according to the range conversion method:
1. Manual range (MAN RANGZ);
2. Auto range (AUTO RANGZ);
3. Automatic/manual range (AUTO/MAN RANGZ);

3. According to function, usage and price, it can be divided into:
1. Low-end digital multimeter (also known as popular digital multimeter);
2. Mid-range digital multimeter;
3. Medium/high-end digital multimeter;
4. Digital/analog hybrid instrument;
5. Instrument with dual display of digital/analog graph;
6. Multi-purpose oscilloscope (integrating kinetic energy such as digital multi-meter and digital storage oscilloscope).

measuring line
The measurement circuit is a circuit used to convert various measured objects into small DC currents suitable for meter measurement. It is composed of resistors, semiconductor components and batteries. It can convert various measured objects (such as current, voltage, resistance, etc.) , Different ranges, through a series of processing (such as rectification, shunt, voltage division, etc.) unified into a certain amount of tiny DC current sent to the meter for measurement.

transfer switch
Its function is to select various measurement lines to meet the measurement requirements of different types and ranges. Generally, there are two transfer switches, marked with different positions and ranges.

Test leads and test lead jacks
The test leads are divided into red and black. When using, insert the red test lead into the jack marked with " ", and insert the black test lead into the jack marked with "-".
Multimeter symbol meaning
1. ∽ means AC, -- means DC;
2. V-2.5KV 4000Ω/V means that for AC voltage and 2.5KV DC voltage block, the sensitivity is 4000Ω/V;
3. A-V-Ω means that current, voltage and resistance can be measured;
4. 45-65-1000Hz means that the operating frequency range is below 1000Hz, and the standard industrial frequency range is 45-65Hz;
5. 2000Ω/V DC means that the sensitivity of the DC block is 2000Ω/V.
