Operation Methods and Sampling Determination Principles of Gas Detectors

1. Turn on the power in a fresh air environment, check the battery level, and ensure it meets the specified requirements.
2. Zero adjustment (or check): adjust the pointer to zero in clean air or check that the reading is zero. (Oxygen meter is around 20.5)
3. On site measurement and data reading, the detector should wait until the pointer and reading are stable before reading the detection data. The response time of the new universe watch is normally less than 20 seconds, while the response time of the Huarui PGM series is 10 seconds
4. Move the detector to a fresh air environment and turn off the power when the indicator is 0.
Attention: 1. It cannot be used when the measurement environment humidity is high (with steam);
2. Operating temperature -15 ℃ -40 ℃;
3. The testing instrument used has been verified to be qualified.
Principles for determining sampling locations--
The sampling method and location vary for different media, and the principles are as follows:
1. Measure gases with a specific gravity lighter than air (such as hydrogen), with a focus on detecting (or sampling) in their upper space;
2. Measure gases with a specific gravity heavier than air (such as liquefied gas, oil and gas), with a focus on detecting (or sampling) in the lower part of their space;
3. To measure gases with a specific gravity that is basically equal to air (such as nitrogen), both the upper, middle, and lower representative parts should be measured (sampled).

1, Petrochemical industry first emerged in the petroleum industry, where most of them are filled with combustible gases, such as our main oil pipelines, large refineries, and oil production bases, as well as gas stations and gasoline transfer stations scattered around us. In these places, there are many small places or equipment that pose a risk of gas leakage, so it is particularly important to use gas detectors to detect the concentration of gases in the environment and whether there are leakage points in the environment or equipment.

2, Gas detectors are also widely used in the pharmaceutical industry. In the pharmaceutical industry, we mainly use toxic gas detectors because there are many different raw materials and intermediates in the pharmaceutical industry. These raw materials and intermediates are toxic chemicals or flammable and explosive substances. Therefore, in places where these raw materials are stored or used, special attention needs to be paid to the concentration of toxic gases in the main air and whether there are toxic gas leaks in important locations. Gas detectors in the pharmaceutical industry can effectively assist workers in detection.
