Operation of the UV illuminometer
The UV illuminance meter is suitable for UV irradiance measurement in the fields of photochemistry, aging of polymer materials, flaw detection, UV light source, plant cultivation, and large-scale integrated circuit lithography.
Structural features
The instrument consists of UV probe UV365 (or UV420) and reading unit, the two parts are connected by cable with plug and socket. The keys on the left side of the reading unit are as follows.
"Power": press this key for the power on state, lift this key for the power off state.
"HOLD": press this key to hold the data, lift this key to sample the data. This key should be lifted when measuring.
"UV365": Press this key when using UV365 probe (at this time, the "UV420" key must be lifted).
"UV420": Press this key when using the UV420 probe (the "UV365" key must be raised).
The "×1", "×10", "×100", and "×1000" keys are four-range keys.
Operation
When measuring UV irradiance, first press the "Power" key, then press the "UV365" (or "UV420") key and the selected range key according to the measurement needs, you can zero the data unit.
Zeroing is complete, the corresponding probe UV365 (or UV420) plug into the reading unit of the jack, and the probe photosensitive surface placed in the position to be measured.
At this time the display window shows the number and the product of the range factor that is the irradiance value (unit: micro-watt / cm2) (Note: "UV365" and "UV420" two keys should not be pressed at the same time).
If you want to keep the measurement data, you can press the "Hold" key (Note: you can not press the "Hold" key before the range key is pressed). When the reading is finished, lift the "Hold" key to return to the sampling state. Lift up the power button (off) when the measurement is finished.
Attention
1. If only "1" is shown on the left end of the display window, it indicates that the irradiance is overloaded and the key with a higher range factor should be pressed to measure; or that
Before pressing the range key, the "Hold" key has been pressed by mistake, so it should be operated correctly.
2. "Power" "keep" "UV365" "UV420" four ranges for the self-locking key, while the four range keys for each other as interlocking keys.
3. When the word "LOBAT" or "←" appears on the upper left side of the LCD panel, the internal battery should be replaced.
Maintenance
Keep the instrument in a clean environment at a temperature of 20±10℃ to avoid chronic damage in a harsh environment.
