Pay attention to the ambient temperature when using the UV light meter:

When using, you must pay attention to avoid receiving strong light, because the photocell cathode is exposed to strong light for a long time, which will cause fatigue and make the photocathode emit abnormally. Therefore, when the illuminance meter is not used, the protective cover of the window should be covered. In addition, the ambient temperature of the UV illuminance meter should not be very high or very low. Especially the ultraviolet illuminance meter that uses the thermoelectric effect element as the receiver has stricter requirements on the ambient temperature (usually 20°C); while the photocell GD-5 is used as the receiver, the ambient temperature requirements are not very strict. In general, the lower the temperature, the better; in order to reduce the dark current. In addition, when measuring the radiation of the light source, it should be perpendicular to the window of the receiver. If it is inclined, it will produce a large error. In this case, angle correction is required.
