Performance introduction and application analysis of infrared thermometer
1. Ambient temperature compensation
In what occasions do you need to use ambient temperature compensation?
Generally speaking, when the ambient temperature exceeds the measured target temperature, the ambient temperature compensation function needs to be used. Generally, mid-to-high-end products have this skill. A typical case is to measure the billet temperature in the secondary reheating furnace. In such applications, we often use Marathon series thermometers to directly measure the billet temperature, and use Thermalert TX thermometers to measure the temperature of the inner wall of the furnace. By triggering the temperature of the furnace wall to the main thermometer in real time with a 0-5V signal, real-time and accurate temperature measurement is realized.
2. External trigger of emissivity
The emissivity of different materials will be different. In order to obtain the actual temperature, it is often necessary to set the emissivity of the corresponding material.
A thermometer with an emissivity external trigger interface can externally control the emissivity value through a 0-5V signal, that is, 0V means 0.100 emissivity, and 5V means 1.000 emissivity. Through the signal control of the external circuit, we can realize the automatic adjustment of emissivity, and then obtain more accurate true temperature measurement.
Reasons for the high temperature of the infrared thermometer
1. The temperature of the measured object is not correctly estimated.
2. The target emissivity is much higher than the expected setting or the emissivity adjustment is incorrect.
3. The spot size of the measured target is too small.
4. There is reflection interference from the background heat source.
5. Wrong type selection, failure to correctly analyze the measurement band applicable to the measured target.
6. Lead wire electrical noise caused by strong magnetic field or incorrect selection of interconnection cables or cables and wire problems of AC power cord.
7. The lens or window of the thermometer is cloudy.
8. Incorrect grounding of the cable leads to no shielding.
