Pointer multimeter use precautions

A multimeter, also known as a multimeter, multimeter, or multimeter, is divided into pointer multimeters and digital multimeters. It is a multifunctional and multi range measuring instrument. Generally, a multimeter can measure DC current, DC voltage, AC current, AC voltage, resistance, and audio level. Some can also measure AC current, capacitance, inductance, and some parameters of semiconductors

When conducting high voltage measurements or when there is high voltage near the measurement point, it is important to pay attention to personal and instrument safety. When measuring high voltage and high current, it is strictly prohibited to switch the range up and down while live, otherwise it may damage the conversion switch. In addition, after using the multimeter, it is best to place the conversion switch in neutral or AC voltage * high gear to prevent damage to the multimeter due to negligence during the next measurement.

After using the multimeter, do not turn it on the resistance gear because there is a battery inside the meter to avoid accidentally causing the two meter bars to collide and short circuit, which may consume the battery. It is best to place the conversion switch in the * high AC voltage gear or neutral gear.

When measuring components with an ohm range, it is not allowed to touch the metal ends of two probes with both hands at the same time to avoid measurement errors caused by human resistance.

When measuring AC voltage, attention should be paid to the frequency and waveform of the AC power. The MF47 multimeter only obtains accurate values when measuring sine wave AC power with a frequency range of 45-65Hz.

For a multimeter that has not been used for a long time, the battery should be removed in a timely manner to prevent the electrolyte leaked after the battery deteriorates from corroding the circuit board of the multimeter.

A multimeter is a high-precision measuring instrument, and should be stored away from strong magnetic fields. It should be handled gently and avoid strong vibrations and collisions as much as possible.
