Portable pH meter operation steps
Before operation, remove the "cleaned ready for use" status sign and hang the "in use" status sign.
Preparation before startup
1. Pull down the electrode sleeve at the front end of the electrode;
2. Pull down the rubber sleeve to expose the small hole on the upper end of the composite electrode;
3. Clean the electrodes with distilled water.
Power on
1. Open the back cover and install 4 batteries of size 5;
2. Press the power switch, turn on the power, preheat for 30 minutes, and then proceed with calibration.
calibration
Before using a portable pH meter, it needs to be calibrated. Generally speaking, instruments need to be calibrated once a day during continuous use.;
1. Press the set button to release the set MTC temperature value;
2. Press and hold the setting button until the current buffer group flashes, and use the up or down button to select another group. When the required buffer group flashes, press the Read key to confirm the selection (usually B4 is selected as the default group);
3. Insert the electrode cleaned with distilled water into a buffer solution with a pH of 6.86;
4. Automatic or manual endpoint of the instrument;
5. Clean the electrode with distilled water, then insert it into a standard buffer solution with pH=4.00 (or pH=9.18) and press the Cal key. After the signal stabilizes, the instrument will automatically terminate the endpoint according to the pre-selected endpoint method or manually terminate the endpoint by pressing Read;
6. The portable pH meter has been calibrated.
7. After calibration, the standard solution group should not be replaced arbitrarily.
The calibrated buffer solution should be used times with a pH of 6.86, * * times with a buffer solution close to the pH value of the measured solution. If the measured solution is acidic, the buffer solution should be selected with a pH of 4.00; If the tested solution is alkaline, choose a buffer solution with pH=9.18.
5, Measure pH value
A calibrated portable pH meter can be used to measure the measured solution, whether the temperature of the measured solution is the same as that of the calibration solution, and the measurement steps may vary.
