4. Purchase coating thickness gauges from legitimate channels. Recently, it was learned from the Consumer Association that consumers purchased a batch of coating thickness gauges in May 2012, with models TT2260A, TT280A, and AT280. Due to serious measurement errors during the trial phase of the product, they were informed when tested by a local metrology institution that this machine does not comply with the Metrology Law of the People's Republic of China, and the manufacturer did not obtain a Manufacturing Metrology Instrument License. When consumers took the original machine to the sales location and requested a return, it was rejected. In fact, such incidents are not uncommon in the purchase process of testing instruments. In most cases, the letter A is added to the product model of a legitimate manufacturer or similar models are used. When consumers are not familiar with the equipment model, they may confuse it with the real one. Therefore, please pay special attention to purchasing and consult with a legitimate thickness gauge manufacturer in advance.
5. The standard configuration of the coating thickness gauge includes calibration coupons and cannot be reduced, otherwise it will affect the subsequent calibration and measurement accuracy of the instrument.
6. For applications in special industries, different types of sensors need to be selected, such as whether they are measuring ultra-thick coatings.
When choosing to use a magnetoresistive coating measuring instrument, there should be no magnetic field around the operating environment.
8. The various standards of the coating thickness gauge comply with the Metrology Law of the People's Republic of China. It is recommended to purchase from a measurement instrument manufacturer certified by CMC.
