Precautions for routine gas detector maintenance
For the gas detectors currently available in the market for limited spaces, most of them are used for gas detection, explosive gases, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide and other gases, because these hazardous gases are the most common, but the instrument manufacturer cannot guarantee the applicability of the instrument sex. Therefore, the applicability issue should still be evaluated and determined by the purchase and use environment. Therefore, the following aspects should be considered when selecting a detector: applicability, capabilities and limitations, reliability, stability, protection requirements, easy identification and convenience, etc. to choose a detector that suits you.
Gas detectors mainly use gas sensors to detect the types of gases that exist in the environment. Gas sensors are sensors used to detect the composition and content of gases. It is generally believed that the definition of gas sensors is based on the classification of detection targets, that is to say, any sensor used to detect gas composition and concentration is called a gas sensor, regardless of whether it uses physical methods or chemical methods. For example, a sensor that detects gas flow is not considered a gas sensor, but a thermal conductivity gas analyzer is an important gas sensor, although they sometimes use roughly the same primary gas to detect that many companies and households use it. Gas detectors are easy to buy in the market, but it is inevitable that some failures will be encountered during use. Most of the time, what we encounter is just some small faults, we can fix them ourselves, but because we don't understand some common sense, we can only ask professional personnel to help them repair them. The following is an introduction to the common faults and maintenance of gas detectors.
The possible faults and causes of the gas detector are analyzed as follows:
There is no display at startup. Membrane switch failure; battery lead broken: the battery voltage is seriously insufficient.
There is only a negative sign when starting up, and there is no counting when pressing the "Voltage" button. The regulated power supply is faulty or its output side is short-circuited.
There is only a decimal point at boot. There is a damaged ring in the sensing element; or a component in the bridge circuit is desoldered.
Do not report to the police if the limit is exceeded. Ring breaker: The alarm circuit is disconnected.
The accuracy cannot be adjusted to the standard gas sample. The explosion-proof cover is seriously dusty; the sensor is aging.
Gas detector repair requirements:
It is forbidden to disassemble the instrument at will, and the maintenance work should be performed by trained professionals.
When a failure occurs during use, it is not allowed to disassemble and repair the machine underground.
The sensor and battery pack are special explosion-proof components, which must be replaced as a whole after damage. The spare parts are provided by the factory and cannot be replaced by other types of parts.
