Precautions for the Metallurgical Microscope
Microscope is a well-known instrument, but few people know its usage precautions. 1. When holding the mirror, it must be in the posture of holding the arm with the right hand and holding the seat with the left hand. It cannot be extracted with one hand to avoid parts falling off or colliding with other places
2. Handle with care and do not place the microscope on the edge of the experimental platform to avoid tipping it over and falling to the ground
3. Keep the microscope clean. The optical and lighting parts can only be wiped with lens cleaning paper. Avoid blowing or wiping with a cloth, and the mechanical parts should be wiped with a cloth
4. Do not let water droplets, alcohol, or other drugs come into contact with the lens and stage. If contaminated, immediately wipe them clean
5. When placing the slide specimen, it should be aligned with the center of the light hole and the slide should not be placed upside down to prevent crushing the slide or damaging the objective lens
6. Develop the habit of keeping both eyes open at the same time, observing the field of view with the left eye and drawing with the right eye
7. Do not remove the eyepiece at will to prevent dust from falling into the objective lens, and do not disassemble various parts at will to prevent damage
8. After use, it must be restored before being placed back in the mirror box. The steps are: remove the specimen, rotate the rotator to move the lens away from the light hole, lower the mirror stage, lay the reflector flat, lower the collector (but do not touch the reflector), close the aperture, return the slide pusher to its original position, cover it with silk cloth and outer cover, and place it back in the laboratory cabinet Fill out the usage registration form afterwards (Note: Reflectors should usually be placed vertically, but sometimes due to the collector not being raised to the appropriate height, the aperture may be damaged when the stage descends, so it is changed to flat placement here)
