Principle of detection for PID gas detectors
A PID gas detector is a device that reacts to the presence of one or more flammable gases in a given concentration. Combustible gas detectors come in two varieties: catalytic type and infrared optical type. The PID gas detector measures the concentration of flammable gas by monitoring the change in resistance of platinum wire made of refractory metal. The platinum wire will undergo an oxidation reaction (flameless combustion) when combustible gas enters the detector. This reaction will generate heat, which will raise the platinum wire's temperature and alter its resistance.

PID gas detector detection principle:
The gas detection transmitter, of which the sensor is a key component, determines the concentration of the gas that has been detected. It is primarily separated into metal oxide semiconductor sensors, catalytic combustion sensors, constant potential electrolytic gas sensors, and galvanic batteries in accordance with the various detecting concepts. sensors for oxygen, infrared light, PID photoionization, etc. The principles and traits of various sensors are briefly summarized in the section below.
