Principle of fiber optic infrared thermometer
Optical fiber infrared thermometer is a kind of infrared thermometer. It is also called a fiber optic sensing thermometer. For ordinary infrared thermometers, its main principle is to sense the infrared rays emitted by the object itself in a non-contact way to detect the surface temperature of the object. For the fiber optic infrared thermometer, the difference between it and the ordinary infrared thermometer is that the infrared rays are transmitted to the sensor through the optical fiber, so that the optical system and the circuit system of the thermometer can be separated.
Principle of fiber optic infrared thermometer
Infrared radiation is one of the most widespread electromagnetic radiations in nature. It is based on the fact that any object will generate its own molecular and atomic irregular motions in a conventional environment, and continuously radiate thermal infrared energy, molecular and atomic motions. The more intense, the greater the energy of the radiation, and vice versa, the smaller the energy of the radiation. Objects with a temperature above absolute zero will radiate infrared rays due to their own molecular motion.
Therefore, by measuring the infrared energy radiated by the object itself, its surface temperature can be accurately determined, which is the objective basis for infrared radiation temperature measurement. Infrared energy is focused on a photodetector and converted into a corresponding electrical signal. The signal is converted into the temperature value of the measured target after being calibrated by the amplifier and signal processing circuit according to the algorithm inside the instrument and the target emissivity. The fiber optic infrared thermometer is to transmit the light to the sensor through the optical fiber, instead of focusing directly on the sensor by the lens. The rest of the principles are the same as ordinary infrared thermometers.
