Principle of non-contact thermometer, application of non-contact thermometer

Non contact infrared thermometer (hereinafter referred to as "thermometer") can determine surface temperature by measuring the infrared energy radiated by the target surface.

The non-contact infrared thermometer adopts an ultra-low power intelligent design. The ultra-low power design ensures that the product can work for a longer period of time, reducing the hassle of frequent battery replacement and low battery during operation for users. Intelligent design helps users to test more conveniently and capture the true value of the tested object more quickly, while the instrument can intelligently select battery or USB connection for power supply.

Infrared thermometers can receive invisible infrared energy emitted by various objects themselves. Infrared radiation is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which includes radio waves, microwaves, visible light, ultraviolet, R rays, and X-rays. Infrared is located between visible light and radio waves, and its wavelength is commonly expressed in micrometers, with a wavelength range of 0.7 micrometers to 1000 micrometers. In fact, the 0.7 micrometers to 14 micrometers wavelength band is used for infrared thermometers.

Application of non-contact thermometer
What are the common applications of non-contact thermometers? Non contact thermometers have many uses, and are most commonly used for:

Predictive and preventive industrial maintenance: check transformers, distribution panels, connectors, switchgear, rotating equipment, furnaces, etc.

Automobiles: Diagnose cylinder heads and heating or cooling systems.

Heating and air conditioning systems/dampers: monitor air stratification, supply/return air dampers, and furnace performance.

Food service and safety: Check storage, service, and storage temperature.

Process control and monitoring: Check the temperature of steel, glass, plastic, cement, paper, food and beverage processes.
