NCV Non-Contact Voltage Detector
"NCV" is the abbreviation of NON CONTACT VOLTAGE, which means "Non-Contact Voltage Detection", used to determine whether the object under test is charged, that is, without breaking the skin of the wire, without contacting the electrodes of the case, to detect whether the wire is electrically charged (FireWire). NCV Non-Contact Voltage Detector adopts electromagnetic field induction detection technology to realize non-contact detection of whether the object is electrified or not. It can be used to search for buried live wires in walls, or to find buried broken wires, etc. It is suitable for use with higher AC voltages. It only determines whether there is voltage present or not, and cannot measure the level of a specific voltage.


Usually, the NCV non-contact stylus can also be used to differentiate between zero and fire wires in the socket, with an audible and visual alarm when the fire wire is detected, and no audible and visual alarm when the zero wire is detected.


Working Principle
NCV non-contact stylus adopts induction detection technology to realize non-contact detection of whether the object is electrically charged, the use of metal inductors non-contact detection of electromagnetic fields, through the signal processing circuit, the electromagnetic field signal is converted into a voltage signal, and finally through the microcontroller to the voltage signal processing operations, through the judgment of the size of the induced voltage to determine the strength of the electromagnetic field, which in turn determines the presence of alternating current and alternating current strength.
