Safe use and general specifications of the multimeter
1. Do not use the meter if it is damaged. Before using the meter, inspect the case and especially the insulation around the terminals.
2. Check whether the test leads have damaged insulation or bare metal; check the continuity of the test leads; replace damaged test leads before use.
3. Do not use the meter after abnormal use, its protection circuit may fail, if in doubt, please send the meter for repair.
4. Do not use the meter in explosive gas, water vapor or dusty environment.
5. Do not apply the rated voltage marked on the meter to the meter terminals (both inputs, or any input to earth).
6. Before use, use the meter to measure a known voltage to confirm that the meter is normal.
7. When repairing the instrument, please only use the parts marked or provided by the manufacturer.
8. The instrument must be used according to the method specified in this manual, otherwise the protective measures provided by the instrument may be invalid.
9. When measuring an AC voltage with an effective value of 30V, an AC voltage with a peak value of 42V, or a DC voltage above 60V.
It should also be noted that the multimeter should be placed horizontally when in use. Insert the red test lead into the + hole, and insert the black test lead into the - hole. Use the current gear to test the current, instead of using the voltage gear or electric barrier by mistake, and the other is the same, otherwise, the fuse in the multimeter will be burnt, and the meter head will be damaged if it is serious. If you don’t know the range in advance, choose the maximum range to try to measure, then disconnect the measurement circuit and then change gears. Never change the range while online. If the hands of the watch deflect to the end rapidly, the circuit should be disconnected immediately for inspection. Finally, note that after the multimeter is used up, the range switch should be set to a higher level of AC voltage, in case others accidentally measure the 220V mains voltage and damage it.
