Select gas detector according to the detected gas

Portable toxic and harmful gas detector is one of the commonly used detectors in some dangerous places. It is an instrument that uses the physical or chemical properties of the gas itself to convert into electrical signals through photoelectric technology, thereby measuring gas concentration. Its main component is the gas sensor. Common types of on-site gas sensors include electrochemical sensors, catalytic combustion sensors, photoionization detectors, semiconductor sensors, etc. There are many gases that can be detected by toxic and harmful gas detectors, and we should choose which gas detector to use based on the gas we want to detect.

Select based on the type of gas being detected:
Due to different detection methods, all possible scenarios must be considered. For example, when detecting methane and other less toxic hydrocarbons, the EM-50 methane detection transmitter fixed methane gas detector is more suitable.

Select by sensor type:
An instrument that cannot change the sensor configuration or add or remove sensors may be a defect. When selecting a detector, factors such as whether the sensor can be replaced on site and whether it is difficult to add sensors should be considered. If the type of pollutant in the surrounding environment being detected has been confirmed, choosing a specific sensor is the safest and safest way.

Choose between diffusion or pump suction:
If it is in an open environment, a portable diffusion gas detector can be used. If it is in a closed space, a multi gas detector with a built-in sampling pump must be selected. If it is used for emergency leak detection, an instrument with short pump suction response time, high sensitivity and resolution should be used, which can easily determine the direction of the leak point.
