Selection method of objective lens of microscope

Microscopes provide customers with a variety of objective lenses with diverse functions. Here is a brief introduction to how to choose the objective lens according to different types of microscopes.

First of all, the objective lens of the microscope can be divided into three reference types: PLN (flat field achromatic), UPLFLN (universal semi-apochromatic) and UPLSAPO (universal apochromatic). There are also objective lenses specially selected for phase difference (PLN-PH, UPLFLN-PH) and polarization (PLN-P, UPLFLN-P), and those corresponding to inverted microscope observation.

The basic parameters describing the objective lens include magnification, numerical aperture (N/A), working distance (WD) and number of fields of view (F.N.), and the reference parameters of different types of objective lenses with the same magnification will be different.

Generally speaking, the observation methods of optical microscope are as follows:

BF: bright field, DF: dark field, PH: phase difference, PO: polarized light, DIC: differential interference, FL: fluorescence observation (blue, green, purple, etc.), UVFL (ultraviolet fluorescence observation). Different types of objective lenses are suitable for some of these observation methods. For example, an objective lens of PLN(F.N.=22) type can be observed in the following ways:

In addition to the objective lens itself, the reasonable collocation of the microscope objective lens and the whole optical system of different models of microscopes can realize the standardization of observation effect and the * * of the product's signal-to-price ratio.
