Metallographic microscope photography and printing method
When conducting experiments with a metallographic microscope, it is sometimes necessary to provide written documents such as reports. Generally speaking, there are two methods for printing photos in the digital photography system of a metallographic microscope: one is to add the length of the ruler, and the other is to add the length and magnification of the ruler.
1. Add ruler length
If there is no need to indicate the magnification factor on the photo and only the metallographic structure is described, then only the length of the ruler needs to be indicated. If it is necessary to select the corresponding objective lens and the ruler length of the intermediate zoom lens, a complete electronic metallographic photograph can be obtained by copying, pasting, and merging layers.
2. Add ruler length and magnification factor
In order to compare metallographic structures, different metallographic structure photos must have the same magnification, so it is necessary to ensure that each photo has the same ruler length. Image processing software can be used to enlarge or abbreviate images, which is accomplished through interpolation, sampling, and integration.
