Several classification standards for gas detectors

A gas detector is an instrument tool for detecting gas leak concentration. Gas sensors are mainly used to detect the types of gases present in the environment. Gas sensors are sensors used to detect the composition and content of gases. It is generally believed that the definition of gas sensor is based on the detection target. That is to say, any sensor used to detect gas composition and concentration is called a gas sensor, regardless of whether it uses physical methods or chemical methods.

There are roughly the following categories of gas detectors:
① Gas detectors are classified according to the detection objects, including flammable gas (including methane) detection alarm devices, toxic gas detection alarm devices, and oxygen detection alarm devices.

② According to the detection principle, flammable gas detection includes catalytic combustion type, semiconductor type, thermal conductivity type, infrared absorption type, etc.; toxic gas detection includes electrochemical type, semiconductor type, etc.; oxygen detection includes electrochemical type, etc.

③Classified according to usage, including portable and fixed.

④Classified according to the place of use, there are conventional type and explosion-proof type.

⑤ According to functional classification, there are gas detectors, gas alarms and gas detection alarms.

⑥Classified by sampling method, including diffusion type and pump suction type

Gas detector selection
Gas detectors are commonly used instruments. They are sensors used to detect the composition and content of gases. They are mainly used to detect toxic, harmful, and combustible gases. Combustible gas detectors and toxic gas detectors are used in coal mines, petroleum, chemicals, and gas transmission. It has applications in the fields of pharmaceutical preparation, biochemical medicine, agricultural supplies and pesticides, building materials, coking, construction and building materials, etc.
