Small knowledge of soldering station - 2 welding processes

 

There are two main types of welding processes, spot welding and drag welding. When soldering, you should prepare the welding wire and soldering iron first. The tip of the soldering iron should be kept clean and the weldment heated. It should be noted that if you want to keep the flat part of the soldering iron tip in contact with the weldment with a large heat capacity, and ensure the quality of the welding process. The side or edge part of the soldering iron tip is in contact with the weldment with small heat capacity, and keeps the weldment evenly heated. When the solder piece is heated to a temperature that melts the solder, place the solder wire into the joint and the solder begins to melt and wet the joint. After a certain amount of solder has melted, remove the wire.


Put the soldering iron in full contact with the solder, even the solder joint is completely wet, and finally remove the soldering iron in a direction of about 45°. In the actual welding process, we must continue to practice and gradually improve our own welding skills to achieve excellent welding quality.


Drag welding usually refers to dense solder joints or weld beads. The soldering iron can be dragged and welded, which is faster than spot welding. Try to avoid the problem of slow welding or no welding, drag welding needs to use stronger welding wire formula activity. When welding, the operation and production of automatic welding machines are more efficient.


Drag welding is also a step in the welding process. This or no filler material can be selected, based on heat or pressure, or both, to achieve atomic bonding of the weldment. Apply rosin solution or flux evenly on the circuit board and IC pins, wait for the solder to melt completely, and then drag along one direction to complete drag soldering.
