Soldering iron soldering skills and methods

the procedure for initially tinning the tip of a fresh soldering iron. Use sandpaper above No. 800 or a knife to remove the oxide layer from the soldering iron's tip while the power is on and the heat is sufficient to melt the tin. Next, immediately apply rosin or solder paste. Finally, add tin. Then, if the soldering iron's tip is oxidized and does not adhere to tin, simply repeat the process from the beginning.

First and foremost, I believe you need a high-quality electric soldering iron. Why? because the tip of a high-quality electric soldering iron has a layer of metal coating on its surface. The purpose of this metal coating layer is to stop oxidation. In general, there is this layer. The soldering iron's tip won't rust after metal plating. Even though the soldering iron's tip's tin will oxidize, it won't oxidize all the way to the tip. If the tip of the soldering iron is not tinned, just wipe off the oxidized tin on a sponge soaked in water, because the tip of the soldering iron will not be oxidized, and it can be easily tinned at this time.

Keep in mind that if you grind, the metal plating will be destroyed and the soldering iron tip will become worthless.

The second approach will always succeed if the appeal strategy does not. When the soldering iron is not plugged in, use a file to polish the tip until it is bright, and then wrap tin wire around the tip. Last but not least, turn on the electricity and watch the tin wire melt. This approach is the greatest one I've used in a long time, and it's flawless.

Last but not least, keep in mind that tin should constantly be present on the soldering iron's tip, even when it is not in use, to prevent the tin from becoming difficult to tin after it has oxidized.

Because the Xinluotie head has been specifically prepared and cannot be tinned, it may also be used in conjunction with rosin. It can be immediately melted on the Luotie head with solder wire containing rosin. Place the Luotie in the heat while heating it. The issue is typically resolved by inserting the iron tip into the rosin and melting the solder wire.

If the Luotie head is an old one that has been severely oxidized, you can use a utility knife or fine sandpaper to remove the oxidation, then heat it into the rosin and melt it on the Luotie head with solder wire because rosin has a cleaning effect and can help the solder wire to flux.

Generally speaking, Luotie heads shouldn't be heated up too much because doing so will quickly cause them to burn out.
