Soldering iron tinning operation method and welding steps

Soldering iron tinning operation method

Prepare a piece of fine sandpaper, then lightly polish the tip of the soldering iron, heat it up with electricity, dip the tip of the soldering iron in rosin, touch the solder wire with the blade surface, and melt the solder to coat the tip of the soldering iron to complete the tinning operation.

If the old soldering iron tip is severely oxidized or has foreign matter attached to the surface, it can be knocked off with a steel hammer to expose the metallic luster on the surface, and then re-tinned.

Basic steps of welding
1. In order to make the solder joints have good conductivity, first polish the tip of the soldering iron with sandpaper. Be careful not to wear the tip of the soldering iron excessively. Excessive wear is easy to be oxidized.

2. Turn on the electric soldering iron and heat it. When the temperature can melt the solder, apply flux to the tip of the soldering iron, and then apply the solder evenly on the tip of the soldering iron.

3. Touch the solder joint with the tip of the soldering iron. When the solder is immersed in the solder joint, slowly pull up the soldering iron.

4. After the soldering is completed, turn off the electric soldering iron and put it on the soldering iron stand. Be careful not to be burned by residual heat.

5. The residual flux on the circuit board can be cleaned with alcohol to prevent the carbonized flux from affecting the normal operation of the circuit.

The maintenance method of the electric soldering iron that is not hot after being energized, the maintenance method of the soldering iron head with electricity

1. When the soldering iron is energized, the tip of the soldering iron is not hot, usually because the power cord falls off or the core wire of the soldering iron is broken.

Maintenance method: Use the R×lkn gear of the multimeter to measure both ends of the power plug. If the pointer of the multimeter does not move, it means that there is an open circuit fault.

2. First check whether the lead wire of the plug itself is open circuit phenomenon, if not, you can remove the bakelite handle, and then use a multimeter to measure the two leads of the soldering iron core, if the pointer of the multimeter still does not move, it means that the soldering iron core is damaged, and the soldering iron core should be replaced .

3. The resistance between the two leads of the 35W internal heating soldering iron core is about 1.Skfl. If the measured resistance is normal, it means that the soldering iron core is fine. The fault occurs in the power lead wire and the plug itself. Most of the faults are lead wire breakout.

Maintenance method: Replace the soldering iron core, insert a new soldering iron core of the same specification into the connecting rod, fix the lead wire on the fixing screw, and tighten the terminal post. At the same time, pay attention to cut off the excess part of the soldering iron core lead wire to prevent two Lead shorted.
