1. Try to use low temperature welding

High temperature will accelerate the oxidation of the soldering iron tip and reduce the life of the soldering iron tip. If the tip temperature exceeds 470°C, it oxidizes twice as fast as 380°C.

2. Don't put too much pressure

When soldering, do not apply too much pressure, otherwise the tip of the soldering iron will be damaged and deformed. As long as the tip of the soldering iron makes sufficient contact with the solder joint, heat can be transferred. In addition, choosing the right soldering iron tip can also help with heat transfer.

3. Always keep the tip of the soldering iron on tin

This reduces the chance of oxidation of the tip and makes the tip more durable. After use, the temperature of the soldering iron tip should be lowered slightly before adding new solder, so that the tinned layer has a better anti-oxidation effect.


1. Troubleshooting of electric soldering iron

1. The heat indicator does not light up

Check for loose wires, fuse, 24V, soldering iron short circuit, and ground spring in turn.

When checking the insurance, first turn off the power, unplug the soldering iron, turn the thermostat over, loosen the screws, turn it over, and gently remove the upper cover.

If 24V is ok, check the soldering iron for a short circuit.

The tip of the soldering iron can only be cleaned with a cleaning sponge, not polished with gauze paper.

2. The light is on and the soldering iron does not heat up

Check for damaged wires and damaged heating elements in turn.

Turn the multimeter to the beeping gear, measure whether the wire is damaged, measure the connection between the tip of the soldering iron tip and the wire, counterclockwise 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1 is the red wire, as long as it rings, it means the same; 2 is the white wire, 3 is the ground wire, 4 is the green wire, and 5 is the blue wire. If there is a disconnected wire, replace the wire.

If the wire is ok, check the heating element. 4 and 5 are the green wire and the blue wire respectively, they are connected to the heater, the normal resistance value is between 2.6-3.8, if it is abnormal, it needs to be replaced

Ceramic heater. 1 and 2 are the red and white lines, they are connected to the sensor, the normal resistance value is between 43-58, if it is abnormal, the sensor needs to be replaced.
