Solution to the problem that the microscope light collector cannot be positioned or is stuck
There are two common types of light collectors:
One is a disc or aperture, with round holes of varying sizes in the disc. This kind of light barrier is positioned by relying on the positioning spring under the stage and the ball being stuck in the positioning hole of the disc. When the ball is missing or the spring fails, the light beam may not be positioned properly. The repair is to replace the balls or springs. Now some manufacturers have changed the positioning method that relies on springs and balls to rely on springs for positioning. This structure is stronger and less likely to be damaged.
The other is the rainbow-type light column, which is composed of twelve arc-shaped thin steel sheets (ie, light-shielding sheets). As long as you turn the handle on the sliding right, you can change the size of the aperture at will. A common fault is that the small steel pillar on the shading plate falls off, causing the handle to get stuck and the aperture cannot be changed. The repair method is to use a small screwdriver to loosen the two fixing screws on the light barrier, take out the light shield, reinstall the fallen small copper pillar on the light shield, and use 502 glue to glue the small copper pillar firmly to prevent it from falling off again. When installing, please note that the two small copper pillars on each light-shielding sheet should be in opposite directions. Or find a small piece of copper wire with a thickness that closely matches the aperture on the light sheet and make it into a small copper pillar. Then put the base plate of the light barrier (the circular plate with twelve small holes is called the base plate) upward, and put each piece The small copper pillars at the end of the light-shielding sheet are inserted into the small holes in the bottom plate, and are arranged neatly one by one in the counterclockwise direction. Then let the sliding groove on the sliding plate be placed on the small copper pillar at the other end of the above-mentioned light-shielding sheet, cover it, and tighten the three fixing screws. If a piece of the light-shielding sheet is broken, just take out the broken light-shielding sheet and light it. The column can still be used normally. If more than two pieces are broken, replacement should be purchased from the manufacturer.
