Specific Operating Methods for Four‑in‑One Gas Detectors

The four‑in‑one gas detector features portability, flexible operation and on‑site real‑time detection. It is widely applied in agriculture, chemical industry, construction, electric power, fire‑fighting, natural‑gas operation, iron‑steel industry, petrochemical industry, sewage treatment and other fields. It mainly detects four gases: hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen and combustible gas. Many users are confused about its operation after purchase.

① Complete safety confirmation before entering the working area. Do not start detection until potential hazards are eliminated. If the detector triggers an alarm, evacuate the working area immediately. Conduct forced ventilation for no less than half an hour before re‑detection. Operators shall record test results on confirmation sheets and take full responsibility for data accuracy.

② Flip over the warning sign as required after detection. Hang the warning sign reliably at the entrance of the working site. Unauthorized

personnel shall not alter its status and external interferences shall be avoided. Personnel are permitted to enter only when the green side of the sign is visible. The shift supervisor shall supervise inspectors to ensure full implementation of regulations.

③ Place the probe into the target environment. In case of gas leakage, concentration readings will rise. Once readings exceed alarm thresholds, alarm indicator lights will turn on and audible alarm will activate. The maximum reading will appear on the display when the probe approaches the leakage source.

④ When low‑battery reminder appears, power off the instrument in time and charge it with the dedicated charger. Charging duration shall be 10‑14 hours per cycle.

⑤ Charging procedure: Plug the charger into AC220V mains socket, insert the charging plug into the detector's charging port, and turn on the power switch of the four‑in‑one gas detector to start charging. The green running lamp lights up, battery indicator flashes and "----" appears on screen. Upon completion, turn off power switch and disconnect the charger.

⑥ At least two personnel shall be present during detection: one for operation and the other for supervision, keeping proper distance between each other. Single‑person operation is strictly prohibited. Operators shall comply with testing requirements, perform gas‑detection duties earnestly, and keep testing regulations, operating procedures and control standards in mind.
