Steps to use DC voltage stabilized power supply

Step 1: Power connection. Connect the regulated power supply to the mains.

Step 2: Turn on the power supply. In the case of not connected to the load, press the power supply switch (power), and then open the power supply DC output switch (output), so that the power supply normal output work (some simple adjustable voltage regulator power supply only the total power switch, there is no independent DC output switch). At this time, the power supply digital indicator head that shows the current operating voltage and output current.

Step 3: Set the output voltage. By adjusting the voltage setting knob, the digital voltmeter displays the target voltage to complete the voltage setting. For the power supply with adjustable current limiting function, there are two sets of regulating systems to regulate the voltage and current respectively. When adjusting, it is important to distinguish clearly, generally the potentiometer to adjust the voltage has the word "VOLTAGE", and the potentiometer to adjust the current has the word "CURRENT". Many entry-level products use low-cost coarse/fine adjustment dual knob setting, encounter dual adjustment knob, we first fine adjustment knob to the middle position, and then set the approximate voltage through the coarse adjustment knob, and then use the fine adjustment knob to accurately correct.

Step 4: Set the current. Press the "Limit" button on the power panel and do not let go, at this time the ammeter will display the current value, adjust the current knob, so that the current value reaches a predetermined level. General current limit can be set at 120% of the highest current in common use. Some power supplies do not have a special adjustment key for current limiting, the user needs to short-circuit the output in accordance with the requirements of the manual, and then according to the short-circuit current with the current-limiting knob to set the level of current limiting. Simple type adjustable voltage regulator power supply does not have current setting function, and there is no corresponding knob.

Step 5: Set over-voltage protection OVP, over-voltage setting refers to the power supply's own adjustable voltage range to further limit an upper limit voltage, so as to avoid the power supply from outputting too high voltage when it is mis-operated. Generally, the overvoltage can be set to 120% of the usual maximum operating voltage. The overvoltage setting requires the use of a one-word screwdriver to adjust the potentiometer recessed in the panel, which is also a design to prevent misoperation. When setting the OVP voltage, first adjust the power supply operating voltage to the target overvoltage point, and then slowly adjust the OVP potentiometer, so that the power protection is just the right action, at which time the OVP is set. Then, turn off the power, lower the working voltage, it will work normally. Refer to step 3 above for setting the operating voltage. The OVP mode is different for different power supply settings.

Step 6: Communication interface parameter setting and remote control operation setting. For the application of local control (panel operation) to close the remote control operation. The communication interface is to be set according to the communication requirements, while local applications do not need to be set.
