Sugar meter analysis
The sugar meter is used to quickly determine the concentration or refractive index of sugar-containing solutions and other non-sugar solutions. Brix meters are widely used in sugar, food, beverage and other industrial sectors as well as agricultural production and scientific research. The sugar content meter is suitable for the concentration measurement of various sauce (seasoning) products such as soy sauce and tomato sauce, the sugar content measurement of jam, syrup, liquid sugar and other products containing more sugar, and suitable for fruit juice, refreshing drinks and carbonated drinks. On the production line, quality management, pre-delivery inspection, etc., are suitable for the process of fruit from planting to sales. The sugar meter can be used to determine the exact harvest time and classify the sweetness. In addition, the sugar meter is also widely used in the determination of the concentration of pulp in the textile industry.
1. Design principle of sugar content meter
the
The phenomenon of refraction occurs when light enters another medium from one medium, and the ratio of the sine of the incident angle is constant, and this ratio is called the refractive index. The content of soluble solids in fruit and vegetable juices is proportional to the refractive index under certain conditions (same temperature and pressure), so the concentration (sugar content) of fruit and vegetable juices can be obtained by measuring the refractive index of fruit and vegetable juices. Commonly used instruments are hand-held refractometers, also known as sugar mirrors and hand-held sugar content meters. By measuring the soluble solid content (sugar content) of fruits and vegetables, the quality of fruits and vegetables can be understood, and the maturity of fruits can be roughly estimated. The hand-held sugar meter is generally cylindrical. Put the sugar solution to be tested into the openable tank at the back, wipe it evenly, close the cover, and then point the sugar meter to the light, and read it from the front hole.
1) With temperature compensation function to make the data more accurate
2) The eyepiece has been upgraded with higher definition and less fatigue for the observer.
2. Product application of sugar content meter:
The refractometer has the advantages of simple structure, shockproof, convenient operation and portability, clear vision, and low price. Sugar series are used in canned food, fruit juice manufacturing, wine fermentation, beverage, fruit, honey harvesting and other fields. Salt series are used in mariculture, aquarium, preparation of normal saline and other fields. The medical series is used in the detection of serum protein and urine specific gravity. The industrial series is used in the detection of automobile battery fluid, refrigerant, cleaning fluid, and the detection of machine tool lubricating fluid and cutting fluid
3. Product structure:
①, Refracting prism ②, cover plate ③, calibration bolt ④, optical system pipeline ⑤, eyepiece (diopter adjustment ring)
4. How to use:
1) Align the refracting prism ① to the direction of the light, and adjust the eyepiece diopter ring ⑤ until the marking line is clear;
2) Adjust the benchmark:
Before the measurement, first make the standard solution (pure water), the instrument and the liquid to be tested based on the same temperature. Open the cover, then take 1~2 drops of standard liquid on the refracting prism, and press the cover gently with your hands
② Draw a dividing line between light and dark. Rotate the calibration bolt
③ Make the light-dark dividing line in the field of view of the eyepiece coincide with the reference line (0%);
3) Open the cover ②, wipe the surface of the prism with a soft flannel cloth, take 1~2 drops of the solution to be tested and drop it on the refracting prism, cover the cover ② and press gently, read the relative scale of the dividing line between light and dark, which is The content of the liquid to be tested;
4) After the measurement, wipe off the attachments on the surface of the prism and the cover with a damp flannelette, and store it properly after drying.
5. Matters needing attention and maintenance:
1) After use, it is strictly forbidden to rinse directly with tap water to avoid water entering the optical system pipeline;
2) During use and maintenance, it should be handled with care and carefully maintained, and the surface of optical parts should not be scratched or scratched;
3) The instrument should be stored in a dry, dust-free, and non-corrosive gas environment to avoid mold on the surface of optical parts.
