Switching power supply: PFM control work and PWM control work
The PFM control works very efficiently corresponding to the number of times the load current controls the switching. In PFM operation, when the load current is small, the number of times of switching per unit time is reduced, and the efficiency is improved by reducing the inactive current such as the consumption current and the through current.
This IC is operated by PFM to suppress the current consumption under no load to 15μA or less. As the load current increases, the consumption current of the IC becomes relatively small, and at this time, a PWM working state with a smaller ripple voltage is required.
