1. Use the multimeter correctly


To use the multimeter correctly, you must be familiar with the dial before using it. Two zero adjusters, turn the zero position slightly. Correctly select the binding post, and insert the red and black test leads into the right holes.


Rotate the shift switch to select the correct gear. Reasonable selection of the range file, the measurement reading is accurate. Look at the range scale line, and the vertical surface reading is accurate.


After the measurement is completed, dial the test pen and turn the switch to the high pressure gear. The battery in the watch is often checked, and the deterioration will leak electrolyte. The storage instrument has a good environment, no vibration, no damp, and a weak magnetic field.


2. Correctly use the ohm gear of the multimeter


To use the ohm gear correctly, you should know that there should be eight items. The battery voltage should be abundant, and the circuit under test should have no voltage. Select the appropriate magnification file, and the needle points to the middle of the scale.


Each time the magnification gear is changed, the resistance zero must be re-adjusted. The tip of the pen has good contact with the measuring point, and the end of the measuring pen does not touch the hand. Measure the on-off of the circuit line, the range file above 1000 ohms.


Judging diode components, different magnifications have different resistances. Measure the winding of the transformer, if you touch it, you will feel numbness.


3. Precautions when measuring voltage with a multimeter


There are eight precautions for measuring voltage with a multimeter. Know the size of the internal resistance of the meter, and someone must monitor it. The circuit meter under test is connected in parallel, and the range cannot be changed when it is charged.


When measuring DC voltage, find out the positive and negative poles of the circuit. Measure the voltage of the inductive reactance circuit, and do not cut off the power supply during the period. To test kV high voltage, a special test lead wire is required.


Induced electricity-to-ground voltage, the difference between different ranges is large.
