Temperature measurement of lead-free soldering iron tips

The temperature of manual lead-free soldering is very important. It is a key indicator affecting the service life of the lead-free soldering iron tip, and it is also an important indicator affecting the quality of the solder joints; therefore, it is very important to measure the temperature of the soldering iron tip.

How to measure the temperature of the soldering iron tip?

1. First, buy a good soldering iron tip temperature tester.

2. Use the correct measurement method. During the normal use of the electric soldering iron (soldering station), add tin to the head of the soldering iron head and directly contact the middle of the temperature sensing line of the temperature tester. The highest constant temperature measured is the actual soldering temperature. And many engineers use a tin wire to measure in the same way as soldering products. After the tin melts, the tip of the soldering iron leaves the temperature sensing point quickly, so that the measured temperature is the lowest temperature during soldering. (The difference between this temperature and the temperature measured by the former is tens of degrees) The main response of a good lead-free soldering iron (soldering station) is that the difference between the two temperatures should be small, and the second is to go from the lowest temperature to the highest constant temperature as soon as possible. , That is to say, we say that the temperature should be recovered quickly.

3. The best lead-free soldering temperature of 350°C we usually say is measured by the first method, not the second one.
