The difference between portable and fixed gas detectors

Gas detectors, both portable and fixed.

The fixed type needs to be installed on the testing site and tested for gas leakage within 24 hours while maintaining power.

Portable built-in rechargeable lithium battery with strong battery life, convenient for on-site inspection personnel or personnel traveling to limited/enclosed spaces for testing and use. The portable gas detector of Chicheng Electric has fast start-up and preheating, and can be used anytime. It can detect the concentration of gas to be measured on site in real-time, greatly facilitating the detection of staff.

Currently, fixed gas detectors are mostly single gas detectors, meaning each instrument can only detect one type of gas.

If the test environment is complex and there may be multiple types of leaked gases at the same time, it is recommended to arrange different types of gas detectors to achieve the detection of multiple gases.

Portable gas detectors can currently support the simultaneous detection of multiple gases, making them more suitable for complex on-site detection work.

The composite portable gas detector takes the four in one gas detector as an example, with standard configurations generally including combustible gas, oxygen, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide.

Of course, these four combinations are not completely fixed. Users can combine and match according to their actual needs, and can also match gas detection sensors such as two in one and three in one. Currently, we support up to five in one sensor combinations while ensuring that signals are not interfered with and sensors do not interfere with each other.

Whether portable or fixed, the quality and performance of the instrument are effectively guaranteed, and the leaked gas concentration value can be quickly obtained on the test site, and displayed in Arabic numerals through the instrument's display screen, making it convenient for on-site personnel to quickly grasp the gas leakage concentration value.

When the concentration of leaked gas reaches or exceeds the alarm value set by the gas detector, the gas detector will issue an alarm signal. Among them, the fixed gas detector will issue an audible and visual alarm signal, and the alarm signal will also be transmitted to the gas alarm controller. The controller will also issue an alarm signal to remind the duty room staff to respond in a timely manner.

The portable gas detector will emit a triple alarm signal of sound, light, and vibration, with a loud sound and strong vibration, sufficient to alert the carrier and nearby staff. Moreover, gas detectors with high and low alarm settings can help workers better distinguish the concentration of toxic gases on site. Gas detectors are essential safety testing tools for factory gas safety. When purchasing, it is important to identify the brand and manufacturer.
