The magnification of the light microscope
I saw many people on the Internet marked the optical microscope with 2000 times, 2500 times or even more. I dare not say that they don’t understand it, but just say that we, as people who don’t have much contact with microscopes, don’t understand it very well. How many magnifications does the microscope have? For example, if the objective lens of an optical microscope is equipped with a 100X oil lens, the standard clear NA1.25 on the objective lens, then its effective magnification is already limited to an effective range of 500NA
As for the digital magnification, let’s give an example: the diameter of the hair is about 50 μm (micron), we will calculate it according to 50 μm (the hair of 50 μm is very thin, and friends with thick hair have more than this number), and the micron is millimeter, centimeter, meter . We put the hair under the mirror and magnify it 10,000 times, which requires a screen size of 50μm×10000=500mm=0.5m, which means that a 0.5m screen is the minimum size of the screen we want to configure. There is no problem with this multiple of the standard, but it is not an ordinary configuration. It is completely achievable to configure such a large-sized screen or screen projection, but the necessity depends on the beholder's opinion.
